FANS Newcomer Spotlight Meet Kaycee Averion! Kaycee is a 12 year old newcomer from the Philippines who moved to Canada in 2018. Kaycee didn’t have the opportunity to play sports in the Philippines and felt scared of finding her way in this new country and especially of school and gym class! With FANS, Kaycee learned Basketball, Soccer, attended our Padel event, and was sent to the Tennis Academy summer camp. FANS helped her enjoy learning through fun sports activities and gave her confidence heading into her new school year that she could fit in and play sports with all of her new friends! Kaycee is now thriving in Canada and continues to pursue the sports that she loves thanks to the help of FANS. Next, she hopes to start playing Volleyball. Please contact us if you would like access to these sports opportunities or if you can support newcomers like Kaycee in learning other sports.
